Who is Scoutcast for?

Anyone in the creative production space — actors, models, photographers, videographers, musicians, DJs, makeup artists, crew members, agencies, content creators, location owners, gear rental companies, and service providers.

Is Scoutcast free to use?

Yes! Scoutcast has a free tier with core features including profile creation, portfolio showcase, regional browsing, and messaging. Premium tiers (Freelancer R99, Creator R149, Professional R299) unlock expanded geographic reach, unlimited posting, and priority visibility.

Where is Scoutcast available?

Scoutcast is built in Southern Africa and is available to download globally. Our community is growing — we started with a strong presence in South Africa and are actively expanding across Africa and internationally. Higher-tier subscribers get early-mover positioning in new regions as the community grows.

How do I showcase my work?

Build your portfolio with photos, videos, and project highlights. Actors can upload headshots and showreels, photographers can display their best shots, musicians can share tracks, and location owners can showcase their spaces. Post to the Community feed to gain visibility.

Can I find work on Scoutcast?

Yes. The Collab feature lets you browse and post casting calls, crew positions, music gigs, photography bookings, and service requests. Set your availability, location, and rates to get discovered by clients looking for exactly what you offer.

Is my data secure?

Absolutely. We use industry-standard encryption, Row-Level Security on all database tables, and strict privacy controls. We comply with POPIA (South Africa), GDPR (EU), and CCPA (California). Read our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I report inappropriate content?

Every post and profile has a report button. We review all reports within 24–48 hours and take action against violations of our Community Guidelines.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings in the app, or by emailing privacy@scoutcast.app. Data is permanently removed within 30 days per POPIA requirements.

What currencies do you support?

Prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) with support for USD, GBP, and EUR. Payment is processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store in your local currency.
