3. Information Sharing & Disclosure
We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties.
3.1 Public Information
Your profile information (name, bio, location, portfolio, categories) is visible to other Scoutcast users to facilitate professional connections. You control what information you include in your profile.

We share information with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the Platform:

4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information:

- Row-Level Security: Database access controls ensure users can only access their own data

5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:
- Your profile is immediately deactivated and hidden from other users
- Personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days
- Uploaded media is deleted from storage within 30 days
- Messages sent to other users may be retained but anonymized ("Deleted User")

We will verify your identity before processing requests. We will respond within 45 days (extendable by 45 days if necessary).

We do not offer financial incentives for the collection, sale, or deletion of personal information.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and analyze usage patterns. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser or device settings.

8. Children's Privacy
π Scoutcast is strictly for users aged 18 and older.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 years of age. If we discover that a user is under 18, the account will be immediately terminated and all personal information deleted.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside South Africa. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including standard contractual clauses and compliance with POPIA cross-border transfer requirements (Section 72).
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Scoutcast after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
